Clynelish 14 years old

Clynelish

The Clynelish distillery is located in the Northern Highlands of Scotland.

It was founded in 1819 by the Earl of Stafford (later the Duke of Sutherland) to increase barley consumption within his estate and to combat illegal liquor production.

The wildcat adorning the bottle label is one of the ducal family's coats of arms, and it is said that wildcats still inhabit the mountains of the Northern Highlands.

In 1967, a new distillery was built on the site, and it inherited the Clynelish name.

The old distillery was named Brora, but it closed down in 1983.

Currently, about 95% of the whisky spirit produced at the Clynelish Distillery is used for blended whisky, and it is also known for being one of the components used in Johnnie Walker.

Clynelish 14 Year Old is a single malt that combines fruity aromas, an appealing sweetness, and a subtle spiciness.

Among single malts, it is exceptionally well-balanced, and its exquisite balance of sweetness and spiciness is its main appeal.
