The Strathisla distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands (Speyside).
Strathisla means "the wide valley through which the Iray River flows" (in Gaelic).
Because the whisky produced here is used as the key malt (main raw material) for the world-famous Scotch whisky "Chivas Regal," this distillery is known as "The Home of Chivas Regal."
It is the oldest existing distillery in the Highlands and is also famous for its beautiful buildings.
It is characterized by its two kiln towers (drying towers), which are also depicted on the bottle label.
Most of the raw spirits are used for blending, and not much is released as single malt.
Strathisla 12 Year Old is a single malt whisky that stands out for its fruity and floral aromas, characteristic of Speyside.
